Thanks to categories it can be my journal and my fiction archive w/o getting hard to find things.
I highly recommend it to all mein freunds. Get ljarchive (http://ljarchive.sf.net) make you LJ an XML file and then import into WP.

Alright -- I'm dead set to drop LJ. I'm sick of constant change for the worse. No, none of it has yet impacted my LJ in a way that was more than an adjustable annoyance, but the changes are in a direction that means the day is approaching. Besides, any company whose recent changes are in violation of their own TOS is not worth using.
Here's my problem -- the WordPress system is elegant, pretty, and very usable -- but there aren't any good offline clients for them so I'd always have to post from WordPress.com Upside -- I can import my LJ comments et al.
InsaneJournal -- is LJ based so can use my fav clients. Downside -- LJ has no IMPORT function. That's right, you can export from any Journal sight using LJ code, but you cannot IMPORT it afterward. Gods help me I am not doing that shit a second time.
GreatestJournal -- see above but add that it's been running on a Backup DB for ages and apparently has effectively been abandoned by the admins.
Blogger -- I've got some clients for it -- no idea how good they are. It's wholy alien territory.
Other free blogging service -- even more friggin alien that Blogger.
I leave it to my friends -- What would you do?
I really strongly urge you all to leave LJ while it's still a simple matter of using LJArchive or a similar tool to d/l a copy of your journal (comments and all) and moving away before LJ turns you away or does something else inconvenient to salvaging your journals. Also just to show them that treating your customers with contempt (when an interview with someone high up in SUP was interviewed... well... protesting changes is now considered attacking the site) is a good way to lose users. What would you use though?
Please note: Anyone who suggests godsdamned MySpace will be hunted down, and skinned alive with a dull, rusting, salted spork. |

So I'm talking to Shan and she brings up that LJ is up to more of their fucked up bullshit, and I should scope out Archangel Beth's post. So I hop onto my friends page and scan her post, click her link, scan that post and have come to a conclusion:
LJ can kiss my cracker ass. Fuck 'em, stupid godsdamned bastards.
I'll be opening an Insane Journal account for the purposes I'm putting my LJ to now, my Word Press account will be the place to find my fiction. LJ will only be used to read the posts of those people who don't take my advise and bail on and boycott these stupid pricks.
They've been annoying and pissing me off with idiotic changes, but I gave them the chance to not do anything further on the count of stupid, or anything drastic. I count this as both.
So this will be the last post to LJ except for links to my other sites once 've made the IJ account. |

I wish my brain had DVR. I had a cool dream last night that would have made a bad ass story, a better comic and was a cool show. And by the time i woke up I could remember most of what I'd seen and none, and I mean none of the dialog or what the fuck was going on -- not to mention I always wake up immediately upon getting 6hrs of sleep unless I'm ill -- I was apparently having this dream near then end of this becuase I just suddenly was awake at no special point just after it'd started getting really cool and exciting.
What a rip off. |

Alvin and the Chipmunks rocks!
To complete the happy day? Went and saw the new Alvin movie at the discount cinema. It’s pretty sweet. Much funniness, big must see type stuff.
Oh! I didn’t mention this at the time, but another must see that was recently seen is Enchanted. It’s really cute. Haven’t seen it? Fix that... like ASAP. |

Wow today has been wonderful. Woke up a bit after six to go to the lake for the sunrise. Ok, first got there a bit after sunrise, and second the sunrise was nothing special today thanks to it being pretty cloudy. Oh well, it was nice since Shan was still sleepy and thus being outrageously adorable and amusing.
Then we got to the park and ended up taking a walk along one of its trails. Not impressive at first, a few weeks ago they did some idiotic sounding thing called a “control burn”, dunno what for. It was only to part of the park though, and though Shanny was getting winded a bit from sinus problems we decided to keep walking -- and good thing too, the day got awesome from here.
We cross over to the part that wasn’t burnt and it was beautiful. Spring isn’t there yet, but arriving -- some of the stuff in there was starting to turn green. Saw a couple of flowering trees already in bloom up ahead. When we got to them they were beautifully scented, no idea what they’re called sadly. Kept walking and found places where spring is further along in its preparations for going full power. Serene, happy, pretty, wonderful, just -- zen. Lots of hugging, lots of kissing, more kissing, some more hugs, lots and lots more kissing.... pretty sounds of birds and bugs and other things. Oh, forgot to mention the deer we saw as we were arriving at the park -- there were some deer, always a cheering sight, they’re cute.
It’s been one of those days where -- yeah, shits not done that ought to have been done 5 months ago, and that shit’s piling up because if it ain’t done you know the shit that oughta been done a week ago ain’t done either. It was one of those balms for the spirit and heart that makes 3hrs seem millions of times longer, and were infinitely better spent then any 1000 hours spent doing shit what needs to be did.
Downsides include the fact that Shanny the Wonderfully Coordinated tested gravity some 5 times, necessitating the purchase of the epsom salts in which she is now soaking her whole body in. My pants are yellow with pollen (a phenomena in this part of GA that is rather unique to it is some kind of pollen that is like a massive yellow dust that coats the entire area about .5“ thick in the spring and fall) from the hem to half way to the knee. My boots have black on them from the soot, and my legs, feet and back are a little sore from all the walking -- but again -- it’s all worth it for how gloriously fabulous the whole time was.
After that we went to our fave local coffee shoppe and got lunch. Had the amazing educate presented in the previous post. It wasn’t half over and already I’d simply had a good day. It could’ve been over, and I was getting into bed to be able to get up for work in the morning and it wouldn’t have mattered one whit to me.
Ain’tn’t love grand? |

I started a thread in SJG Gen Chat that I know is likely to get locked/deleted right fast -- and this is too memorable to let get lost to the ether.
OMFG!!! While I’ve probably had encounters with the creature commonly referred to as yuppies before -- I’ve had my first confirmed sighting of a pack of them.
And one of them said “Let’s do lunch”. My GODS do people actually say this to each other?! I’m not kidding. I honestly though it was something for preps and yuppies done Hollywood style -- kind of like the hackers in designer clothes things with the uber awesome 3D terminal interfaces -- and it usually sounds kind of forced when scripted to be said. She dropped it in casual conversation like it was a perfectly ordinary phrase. I did a flippin’ double take thinking ‘I didn’t just hear what I think I heard... did I?’.
That was just too educational and life altering not to share. How fucking messed up is that? And what the hells kind of fucked up sentence is it supposed to be anyway? I mean “Let’s do lunch” do they have any fucking clue how stupid that sounds --- actually now I think about it, it could be kinda kinky. Doing lunch. Sounds like some kind of veggie thing or bestiality. Maybe it’s a way to proposition each other? I mean I can think of a way that it isn’t a goofy thing to say, but all of them are really dirty things to just shout out to someone as they’re walking away from you outside the café. |

Wow. Tis amazing how much more enjoyable the SJGames forums are now that I’ve remembered there’s an ignore option. Lots of really stupid fucking twit no-brained fucktards are now blissfully absent from what are otherwise fascinating threads. Now if only I wouldn’t get email notified of when they post and only get the email notices when someone intelligent and important posts. Oh well, I guess the universe can’t be too perfect.
I wanted to find a way to start this as a thread on the forums lauding the wonders of the ignore option -- but I couldn’t think of any way that wouldn’t border on ban-worthy. |

We were thinking of playing Keep on the Borderlands, but decided we’d rather do something more in the spirit but using our preferred stuffs.
We played a mini-dungeon Z made up a few days ago. The cast: Xanthe -- Swashbuckler/Druid Nymph fighting dual rapiered and who seduced her way into an 80% discount on her starting goods, and did well in the fighting of some undead thing.
Freyna -- Barbarian Pixie who can hardly speak common. She found it very much fun to fight from atop the undead thing’s head. Enjoyed the meal a Djinni conjured us, and in true barbarian fashion started the adventure in drinking and wenching.
Ragnar -- Martial Artist/Holy Warrior Dwarf. He didn’t do anything impressive. He’s kinda Shaolin paladinish and that means the only impressive thing he ever is likely to do is walk with the tree shoved up his -- oops gotta move along
Hilda -- Thief/Cleric Gnome. She impressively managed to get her crossbow loaded (note I didn’t even say aimed or fired) before the fight with the undead thing was over. She did however impressively manage to start with more money than anyone else though the larcenous blessings of her gods. She however is the only one without signature gear and so didn’t start with a weapon and couldn’t really afford armour or anything but a crossbow.
Zabuza -- Martial Artist/Thief human. He likes to be called “The ninja” and hides in shadows even though someone in the party always spots him. He never takes his mask off. He started reasonably better off than his wealth would allow. He fights with an impressive combination of smallsword and falchion that are decked out to 45 points worth of sig gear.
Kaz’akal -- Wizard/Knight Gargoyle. He’s a pyromaniac. He’s intelligent, academically speaking. Socially speaking he’s dumber than the rocks he resembles. He’s a pyromancer. Xanthe likes to sharpen her wit on him.
Took longer than we expected to get our gear bought and get out on the quest to rid this random dungeon of its payload of monsters and evil cultists (and it’s treasure... never forget the treasure), but we did get started. A quick trek through the woods found us in a large hallway where we found this undead thing that we unkilled. It was going to be a wraith, but when Z discovered that this would mercilessly kill the entire party as though we were roaches in a Raid factory she downgraded it to a wight which is the undead thing that the PCs could not identify, but were effective in smoting.
Then we met a Djinn that was exploring the dungeon as well and he conjured us dinner and the pixie had fun playing in the puddings and mead, the gargoyle stuffed his face (almost literally), and Xanthe spent her time on the Djinn’s lap trying to seduce him (did I mention she’s got lecherous? she very much failed that SC roll). We were about to rest and wander further into the dungeon, possibly with a Djinni as a party NPC but we had to end the game due to lateness and will probably pick it up Saturday. |

WTF?! I just hope that the stories aren’t getting damaged. Oh well, PDFs can’t suffer that. So I’m safe really. Which reminds me. FontForge won’t load itself, and Anastasia's letter home isn’t going to generate it’s own alien script. This century is so backward and primitive ~huff~. |

Well, I’ve posted Anastasia Joins the Daggers as PDF. I also posted this story of Georgia and Serena marrying directly into the blog. I now feel that my stories are easier for me to keep up with, keep organised, and to keep looking as I wish them to on WordPress.
I’ll post links to any writings here for people who keep up with my stories, though you can RSS my WP. Anyway, no more of my stories will go here unless I feel masochistic or it’s really fucking short. |

I have a WordPress site now. Very awesome. With the help of a program called ljArchive (just google for it... sorry... I no have linky) I’ve got my LJ copied over in less time that it takes to do a single post the way I did it for the apparently dying GreatestJournal.
here’s the WP
Go there for my fic by preference (in fact I may quit putting my fiction on LJ at all) because it lets me do things like upload PDF and ODT files which saves me a lot of migraines fucking around with HTML and XML.

I went ahead and typed it up while trying to figure out what to have for dinner. So here’s the Anastasia Joins the Daggers story entire. It’s been revised some from the handwritten -- that version shall never be typed because that’d be insane, I don’t spell well for when I’m carried away for one.
I feel like shit today so I’m not going to look at the formatting of this. I couldn’t possibly care less. I’ll fix that some other time if it seems important. I’ll just let you read now. COMMENTS!!! I WANT COMMENTS!!! ( Anastasia Joins the Daggers (Complete)Collapse ) |

Check this out.
As the subject/title says -- I just wish the US courts had this kinda balls. They backed out of theirs. Why? Because Gates donated what amounts to pocket change for him to a scholarship program and then handed out free copies of Win2k to colleges. The judge reversed his decision saying that obviously Gates can't be such a bad guy after all.
What does being good or bad, charitable or stingy have to do with antitrust violations? I don't fucking know. The EU doesn't either and wasn't swayed. Yay for them. |
